This is on the Erie Branch of the Bessemer & Lake Erie Railroad (now owned by Canadian National.) The locomotives are EMD SD-40T's.

Demonstration of another high-speed paper tape reader loading a BASIC program. The program was the RSTS version of Star Trek from the Project Delta archives. Total read time was around 8k in one minute. Communication parameters are 4800 baud, 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit. Interface is an RS-232C w/ null-modem connection to an iMac via a Keyspan USB to serial converter.

Tape processing on an LSI-11 (PDP-11/03) using a Qualstar Streaming Tape Subsystem. Tape transport has a slightly bent capstan -- drive is very noisy and subject to severe tape jitter. Reading works only 75% of the time.
