I just finished shortening a wedding dress and just had to try it out, early in the morning, when the weather was cool. It was ecstasy feeling and seeing the silky, soft dress and pettis swishing around my body as I moved.
I bought this wedding dress cheap and I thought it would make a good 'Pageant'- type dress with a shorter skirt. So I cut off the skirt and shortened it from the waist, increasing the hem length. I think it came out well, and I just love to swish around in it.
My wife made this dress for me 24 years ago, and it's still my favourite. The material is so sheer and smooth.and rustles so nicely with lots of petticoats under it.
This is a copy, in satin, of my wife's jersey wedding dress.I felt I just couldn't wear her dress, so I made this one, improving it by using satin and shortening the skirt and making it a 'full circle' dress.I think the result is wonderful. I feel so feminine and at peace with the world when I wear it.
I bought this wedding dress for only $50,at a St Vinnies shop, new. I think because it was a size 6 and few people could fit into it. I added material to the sides and made it fit me.It was made in Taiwan ,of the most shiny satin imaginable. When I'm wearing this dress, I feel like a princess.
This is one of the first dresses I ever owned. I bought it in 1974 at a flea market. It's pure silk, and was originally pure white. It's yellowed a bit over the years from washing, but I try to keep it in reasonable condition 'cause I still love to wear it.
It was a bit cooler this morning so I tried dressing in my girly dresses and petticoats.I made this dress some time ago and it sat in my cupboard till today.
I was just walking through Big W today, and saw these leotards hanging in a corner at $9.96. I couldn't resist, so I bought a few, of different colours. I think this colour is so nice. And, oh, how nice it looks and feels!
I sometimes wear my leotards or swimming costumes under my street clothes.Of course, I don't wear the makeup, jewellery or shoes. When I wear tights, I put long pants on over .
Although this dress isn't a full petticoat style, I love it because of its silky material. It also reminds me of the nightgown worn by Wendy in the Disney version of "Peter Pan". I often envied her, being able to wear it through all their adventures.
